Ranchi, April 9: Soon Abdur Razzaque Ansari Memorial Weavers' Hospital will become a knowledge hub.
The Apollo Group hospital at Irba is all set to offer various paramedical courses from July this year.
Named Shine — Abdur Razzaque Ansari Institute of Health Education and Research, the centre will start with diploma courses in medical laboratory, cardiac instrumentation, ECG, X-ray, opthalmic technology, medi-cal instrumentation, physiotherapy, dental, pharmacy as well as auxiliary nursing midwifery and general nursing midwifery.
The degree courses that will be offered at the institute include bachelor of psychotherapy, medical laboratory, radiology imaging services, nursing, pharmacy, clinical nutrition and dietetics. Master-level courses to be offered are two-year PG diploma in management and hospital management.
Coming up on 15 acres behind the hospital, the institute has been established at the cost of Rs 5 crore. A nationalised bank of the locality is extending financial assistance for the institute.
Institute director V.P. Sharan said the education hub is affiliated to All India Council of Technical Education and candidates will be selected based on a combined entrance examination to be conducted by state. "We suppose that the institute will stop migration of students to other states," said Sharan.
The chairman of Abdur Razzaque Memorial Welfare Society, Manzoor Ahmed Ansari, said they were also planning to start courses in dental sciences as well as MBBS. Source:telegraphindia.com
